Considered one of the 15 most impressive climbs in the world, this is undoubtedly a mountain that cannot be missed on any climber's list. With a long approach, advanced camp and 240m of wall, reaching its summit is an unforgettable odyssey for a select few. Our guides opt for the two-day strategy so that the participant is more rested during the climb, thus increasing the safety of the team.
DAY 1: Approach to Advanced Camp
Meet in Teresópolis-RJ at 12:30 for a hearty lunch, entrance to the Serra dos Órgãos National Park and start of the trail to the campsite on the banks of the Paquequer River. Overnight stay in a tent. Dinner included at the campsite.
Accumulated elevation: 800m
Distance: 8km
Estimated Time: 3 – 4h
DAY 2: Climbing and trail back
We will wake up at 5:30 am to have breakfast and at 6:30 am we will cross the phantom abyss to arrive after 1 hour and 15 minutes of hiking at the base of the normal route of Agulha do Diabo. After climbing to its summit, we will begin rappelling, return to the camp to dismantle the tents and finally reach the entrance to the Teresópolis headquarters of Parnaso.
